Greetings! Here are questions about submitted photos – photos for the Family Section – that are not taken by the Lifetouch photography team. Here are some general guidelines. There is no cost for Assisted Living – Shut-ins or Armed Forces personnel.
If Lifetouch produced the last directory, we would not have the photo from the last directory program. We will need a digital image or a print. (If you still have the Complimentary 8x10 from the last program, you may “scan” this image and submit as a digital file).
Concerning Submitted Photos:
1. There is a $10.00 charge for a submitted photo (digital or print) – to placed in the family section. (alphabetically). Do not write the names on the back of the photo. 2.There is no charge for “Shut-Ins” or “Armed Forces Personnel”.
3. If the photo was taken by professional photographer/studio, a copyright release signed by the photographer/studio is needed to publish the photo in the directory. I am attaching the form that the family will need to have signed and submitted with the photo. I am also attaching a form that we will send in with each photo. This form has information concerning submitting a digital photo.
4. Submitted photos (prints) are not returned.
5. Preferably, the photo is a “vertical” photo that will conform to the photos taken by Lifetouch for the family section.
6. Each family submitting a photo will receive a directory.
7. Checks should be made out to the church. (And one check from the church to cover the submitted photos to be sent with the layout materials.)
8. We cannot use a photo that was “cut-out” from the last directory. (This photo is made up of dots and will not copy correctly for the printed directory.)
9. Polaroid photos are not accepted.
10. The “entire” submitted photo is used – we cannot crop out people in the photo. If a print is being submitted – DO NOT CUT the photo. I have received photos where the person that was to be submitted was “cut-out” of the group and the head size was the size of a postage stamp. It will not work.
